Ms. Deane's 6th class have been studying about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals were agreed by 193 countries at the United Nations in September 2015 and we want to start taking action.
As a class, we decided to act on Goal 13- Climate Action by carrying out our second litter pick around the school grounds and surrounding area. Shockingly, we collected almost 10 bags of rubbish this year!!
We also zoned in on Goal 4- Quality Education. We gathered all the unused book rental textbooks in the school and delivered them to 'Gateway to Education' in Limerick. This company transports used books to classrooms in third world countries. We are very proud to be able to help children around the world.
