6th class have had a very busy last term particularly in the run up to Christmas. The Christmas festivities kicked off with our annual Carol Singing in aid of Marymount Hospice at the Post Office. The Christmas Fair was a huge success this year and the 6th class pupils played an integral part in the smooth running of the day. The Penny Dinners Shoebox appeal was also co-ordinated by our 6th class pupils who spent many hours packing, wrapping and organising the shoeboxes. Well Done everyone! In English, we practiced our letter writing skills, as we wrote letters to the residents of Maryborough Nursing Home. While, we have loved developing our relationship with our Junior Infant students as we enjoyed a lovely walk to the library and park in the fresh air. Finally, we cannot forget the visit from Santa Claus himself who paid us a very special visit by motorbike!
